Have any of you locals been to this annual fashion show?

I have not been, but it is a very formal and extravagent affair. This year Vera Wang will be the guest of honor.

I am not certain, but I think all for SCAD%26#39;s graduating seniors in fashion design exhibit their works at this show with models, etc. Many years I have seen obvious family and friend groups walking to the Trustee%26#39;s Theatre for the event, dressed very nicely, carrying bouquets and bundles of flowers to give to the students whose work is highlighted. I think it would be well worth the effort to attend if you are able.

Any ideas about events for Memorial Day that may be happening? Thanks!

Well, when I say formal, don%26#39;t worry about a tux or long dress. Just dress appropriately - nice outfit, casual for the fashion show would be a no-no.

Probably the biggest thing that happens over Memorial Day is the Tybee Island Beach Bum Parade - http://www.tybeevisit.com/events.php?key=65

It is more fun that the law allows! Plan on not only getting damp, but getting soaking to the bone wet during the parade. Also plan to arrive on Tybee Island no later than 3pm or you will be backed up in traffic and never make it.
