Garden Hotel Historic Savannah

the four of us women went to Savannah this past few days on the Paula Deen tour. The package had us staying at the Garden Hotel, which included the parking or our car, the buffet breakfast, packages of Lady and Sons biscuit and corn bread mixes, and the tour by Old Savannah tours.

The hotel was very nice with big rooms, sitting across Bay Street from River Street and one block from The City Market and only two blocks from all the downtown businesses. We parked the car and walk to all the places we wanted to see.

The main thing is even when I was calling about reservations to our visit there, the staff was excellent. They were extremely kind and helpful.

Patricia got us a wheelchair one everning when my mom was having trouble walking so we could go across to The City Market. Everyone of the staff would talk, smile (very important to me) and act like they were enjoying doing their job. We met several who were college students working to help their expenses and there were several from other countries. The main thing is how observate they were because they even remember our names and the rooms we were assigned. Several other guests stated they were treated the same way. One lady and her mom had reservation with the Paula Deen tour and the mom got sick, so they rescheduled their time (which is very hard to get a new time because of how quickly the tour fills up), and other couple came in and wanted to try to do the tour at the last minute and the woman of the couple told my mom they worked so hard but was unable to get them in but showed them some other options. The lady and her husband were very pleased.

It was somewhere I would recommend to everyone. Very nice, warm

and caring envirnoment. We loved it.
