Hotel Help

My husband and I are planning a motorcycle trip which includes probably 3 nights in Helen in mid August. That seems like a good central location to the rides we%26#39;d like to take. I am looking for a room where we can stay that is within walking distance to restaurants/bars. Once we%26#39;re in, we want to be able to walk to stuff. I%26#39;ve looked at Best Western and Hampton Inn. Any input would certainly be appreciated. Any suggestions for ';biker'; friendly joints would also be great. Thank you.

Be sure to check out the Country Inn and Suites. It is an exceptionally nice hotel in an ideal location. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff members are friendly and a continental breakfast is served each morning. The hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub, and even a small library! Best of all, the Country Inn and Suites is affordably priced and would be a good place for you to stay at. The Hampton Inn is also a nice hotel that is in a good location and has a continental breakfast. Hope this helps.

Though it%26#39;s not in Helen, I%26#39;d like to recommend the cabins at Unicoi State Park, just a few miles up the road from town. They have 1, 2, and 3 BR lakefront cabins with kitchens, and are comfortable and very affordable. (www.gastateparks.org) I can%26#39;t recommend a hotel in town, but I do remember there was at least one store that sold biker leathers among other things, and I saw several bikers around, so I bet you%26#39;d be welcomed in town!
