Movie theater near Atlanta Airport? 5.5 hrs

I have 5.5 hours between flights - 3:35 - 8:42PM.

Both flights are domestic, I already have boarding pass, and no check-in luggage.

I was thinking of seeing a movie (MI-III).

Any suggestions were to go near by (or is it possible to do in 5.5 hours)?

Thanks for help.

The best way to do this would be to take MARTA from the airport to a movie theater. There is a nice Regal Theater at Atlantic Station, which is on 17th Street. To get there you would take MARTA to the Arts Center Station, where there is a shuttle bus that take you to Atlantic station. The shuttles are clearly marked and there are always 2-3 of them lined up outside the station. If you go to Atlantic Station, there are lots of shops and restaurants in the center so it%26#39;s a great place to kill some time. I would factor in some extra time on your return trip to the airtport, though, in case there are MARTA delays. They%26#39;re rare, though.

The Midtown Landmark theater is probably a 6 block walk from the Midtown MARTA stop, but it plays artsier movies and I%26#39;m not sure it would have MI3.

Another option would be to take MARTA to the Lenox Station, and there is a movie theater at Lenox Mall. It is horribly ghetto, though, and I wouldn%26#39;t see a movie there.

I could have sworn that the theaters at Lenox closed a few years ago. Did they re-open?? There are definitely the theaters at Phipps and maybe that place on Piedmont near Peachtree (NE corner).

Also are (or used to be theaters) at omni/cnn center. Not sure if they%26#39;re still there.

I think you%26#39;re right about the Lenox theater. I don%26#39;t see it listed on moviefone.com. Very glad they closed it - what a nightmare!

You may be talking about the Buckhead Backlot which is on Piedmont just west of Peachtree. It%26#39; sa nice theater - serves beer and food to you at a table inside the theater. It only has a few screens, but I%26#39;m sure it woudl show a big release like MI3. Buckhead has a free shuttle that you could take there from the MARTA station.

I%26#39;m not familiar with anything being in CNN Center, and don%26#39;t see it listed on moviefone, so it%26#39;s possible that it closed.

Southlake Mall is 10 minutes from the airport and it has and AMC 24 theater with stadium seating.

I-75 South, exit at Mt. Zion Blvd. (West), turn right at the light and then right at the seciond light. about 1/4 mile on the left.
