Trip in April

We have reservations for the last week in April at a B%26amp;B in the historic district. Will it be very warm then or just comfortable? Will the flowers %26amp; azaleas still be in bloom? I am checking several of the posts on here and have already decided on some things and against others. We are definitely not going the fast tourist route. We want to walk around, maybe take a ghost tour or carriage ride. We don%26#39;t do the fast-paced thing but we don%26#39;t have an entire week. We%26#39;re staying 3 nights...is that plenty of time?

We also want to eat somewhere nice, not real expensive but a nice splurge since this is our early anniversary present. We don%26#39;t like seafood but love Italian, American %26amp; Mexican. Any suggestions would be great.

Trip in April

Normally, the last week in April will still be nice and comfortable. But this has been a weird winter and spring. I have reached a point that I wouldn%26#39;t bet on anything including snow in July.

The chilly weather that we have had the last few days may slow down the azalea bloom, if it doesn%26#39;t, then the biggest blaze of bloom will probably be over by then. There will still be enough that it will be nice, but it will probably late for the best show.

You%26#39;ll have plenty of time to walk around and take a tour.

Come and enjoy!! I think you will be in for a treat.

Cosentino%26#39;s on MLK near Broughton is very good, reasonably priced italian. They also have outside seating which should be great at the end of April.

Three nights shou be a good amount of time. Be sure to see Ft Pulaski.

Il Pasticcio - corner of Broughton and Bull - is another great Italian place. More of a splurge, but memorable. Killer wine list, too.
