Savannah Lunch Place with Teenagers

Hi There,

Heading down for Spring break and we%26#39;ll be there on Friday for lunch. Any good, fun places to take a couple of teenage girls (15?).

Thanks for your help,

Tammy

Where in Savannah do you plan to be? If you are going down to the beach, they might enjoy the Crab Shack.

It%26#39;s different.

We%26#39;re spending Thursday night in Savannah, and plan to spend part of Friday in Savannah doing lunch and River Street. Then heading to Tybee.

My daughter is not such a fan of seafood...

Thank you for your idea!

Tammy

Angels BBQ is a very good little BBQ place, run by a husband and wife team. Has a couple tables outside it is in the lane just south of Oglethorpe, between Bull and Whitaker.

I think the outside table thing is great for young people, it adds a whole nother level of entertainment, watching people and all.

There is a new place on Liberty between Abercorn and Drayton called J Christophers, breakfast and lunch only, closes at two, has a few tables on the wide sidewalk. Good food reasonable prices.

Oglethorpe between Bull and Whitaker has Mellow mushroom on one side, with ok pizza and sandwhiches and Soho (something) on the other side, very good soup, sandwhiches, a few tables outside. A little more expensive than the other two but still reasonable.

Vinnie Van Go-Go%26#39;s at City Market is consistently voted ';Best Pizza In Savannah';. It is a funky ';joint'; frequented by locals (With heavy representation by the trendy - and often blue-haired - Savannah College of Art and Design Students) and tourists of every ilk. Seating is outside. Most servers are teen-agers, or nearly, and it%26#39;s just great fun in addition to the grand pizza. If the young ladies would like to ';go elegant'; take them to the Gryphon Tea Room on Madison Square for an elegant, but reasonable, luncheon in a lovely setting.
