Atlanta Hotels

I am planning a trip to Atlanta in May. We are going to the Fox theatre one night. I would like a hotel that is close to the theatre (do not mind taking taxi if I have to), has a rooftop pool and near cool low-key bar (not club atmosphere). Any ideas?

I do not know of any hotels with rooftop pools, but the Georgian Terrace and Hotel Indigo are across the street from the Fox. Neither of these has a particularly happening bar. There are, however, several good bars within walking distance of the Fox if you decide on Hotel Indigo or the Georgian Terrace.

If you%26#39;re looking for a hotel with a great bar, I highly recommend Twelve, which is located in Atlantic station less than 2 miles from the Fox. It has a great, lively bar and its restaurant, the Lobby at Twelve, is excellent. Also, the Glenn Hotel downtown has the restaurant/lounge B.E.D. which includes a rooftop lounge (which as of this post is still not open but was supposed to open a couple of weeks ago) as well as a lobby bar. You should check out the websites of these hotels, as both shoudl have photos to give you a feel for the atmosphere.

I can%26#39;t really think of other hotels in that area with cool bars. If you want to go outside the city a little, the W hotel has an awesome pool and a cool bar, though I%26#39;ve never seen the bar very crowded.
