*maybe a house/condo that is renting??

*areas around town NOT to search for a home/apartment

*construction job for my husband...he is multitalented and LOVES the hot outdoors!!

*I am an xray tech..Ive applied @ St. Joes and Memorial, are there any other areas that may need me?

Thank you soo much in advance and be sure that ANY advice or help is surely appreciated!!

If your husband is involved in residential construction, I would recommend looking on the west side of Chatham County for an apartment. Pooler or that area, there are lots of new apts there and they are building houses like crazy in that vicinity. It wold be a good place to start anyway, then see where you end up spending your time.

On the x-ray thing, Memorial just canceled a contract with a huge private firm that did their x-rays and is bringing it in house. Things may be a little strange now but it will settle soon and I am sure you will find a job.

The St. Joseph/Candler Hospitals are a jointly managed complex. Two hospitals with several free standing clinics. Memorial has it%26#39;s main hospital and also has several free standing clinics. The largest non-hospital based Radiology group is probably Radiology Assoc. Many of the larger private practices also have their own Xray equipment and techs. I am sure that you will be able to find something. The hospitals probably pay better and have better benefits.

Brian is correct about the building boom on the West Side. It would be easier for your husband to be located there, but you would be on the other side of town. The commute would be a lot better than it is in other cities, but it would be a chore if you had to work on-call at night.

Another thing that your husband might want to consider. If he is an expert carpenter, there is a boom in restoration work all over Savannah. If he likes, and can do that sort of specialized construction, there may be a chance at that.

Check out www.savannahnow.com That%26#39;s our local newspaper. It has a classified section that lists job openings.

When you get here, have your husband contact me at brian@omancon.com. I will see if I can steer him in the right direction.
