Can you take the marta to the new aquarium from a hotel there? Do not want to drive in downtown Atlanta. Also what is a nice place to stay in Marietta?

You cannot take MARTA to the aquarium from Marietta. You could take a CCT (Cobb Community Transit) bus to a MARTA station and then take the MARTA train. Or, you could drive to the closest MARTA station, park, and ride MARTA to the aquarium. If you drive to the aquarium, you can pretty much bypass downtown traffic if coming south down I-75 by getting off at the Howell Mill Road Exit (which comes well before downtown or midtown), following Howell Mill Road south until it become Marietta Street, and taking a left onto Jones St, where the aquarium parking deck is located.
Also, more people post on the Atlanta forum than the Marietta forum, so you may get more responses re: hotels if you post there.
