Wea re looking for a hotel that has a suite with 2 bedrooms. We are meeting our adult children who have one child and want to all stay together for about 4 days in Savannah. i see lots of hotels that offer suites but they don%26#39;t offer the two bedrooms in the same room. Thoughts.
Hotels that have two bedrooms?I would try the Hampton Inn and Suites on MLK Jr. Blvd. I know most of the hotels downtown offer suites with a king-size bed in the bedroom and then a living room with a sofa bed, there is a door that closes between the 2 the downside the bathroom is in with the bedroom. They also offer connecting suites if you were looking to go that route.
I hope this helps.
Hotels that have two bedrooms?Homewood Suites (Hilton) has 2-bedroom/2-bath suites with full kitchens and a separate living area, typically with 2 double beds in each bedroom. They work really well for us on family trips. Residence Inns (Marriott) has two locations in Savannah, including one that just opened this month. Both offer 2-bedroom suites, but I think they typically have a single queen bed in each room, as well as two bathrooms and a full kitchen and living area. Both brands also generally have a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living area.
Of course, they%26#39;re not cheap -- typically around $300/night in Savannah for Homewood or the downtown Residence Inn. The older Residence Inn, on White Bluff Road, is showing rates around $160/night for some dates in March. You can often get two rooms at a mid-line business hotel for less than a 2-bedroom suite.
Skip the hotels and try condos. We booked at www.staysavannah.com and will be staying in a two bedroom condo with parking in April. It is much cheaper and more room than a hotel. We also talked with several other people about units on VRBO.com that had three and four bedroom units. Just be careful of where you are staying. We are one block from River st. Goodluck.
Definitely look at www.vrbo.com. Several units on there are 2 bedroom and they look beautiful.
