Hi
I am flying into atlanta at the end of may en route to Richmond, Va.
We are landing at 3:00pm and are booked into the Holiday inn at college park, Flying out in the morning at 9:50am.
Say by the time we clear immigration and get to the hotel it will be 5pm on saturday night. Is it worth our while travelling into atlanta or is there much around college park.
How much roughly for a cab from college park to downtown atlanta. Any recommendations on restaraunts or bars and would it be worth trying to take in any of the sights in the small amount of time we have.
Any help much appreciated
Stop Over 1 nightAlso how much roughly for a cab from the airport to the holiday inn, college park.
Or is there an alternative, bus, subway?
Stop Over 1 nightYour hotel should have a free shuttle from the airport, so you won%26#39;t have to pay for a taxi. You may want to email the hotel to find out whether the shuttle will be there waiting for you, or whether you need to call it when you clear customs. If you need to call, there is a bank of hotels phones just next to baggage claim that you can use, or you can call on your cell phone.
There%26#39;s really nothing to do in College Park, so I would recommend taking the shuttle back to either the airport or another MARTA station, and taking MARTA into downtown or midtown for a good meal and bar.
For info on MARTA, the subway, see www.itsmarta.com.
Most of the ';sights'; close around 5-6pm. Obviously you can check out one of our better restaurants, do some shopping at Lenox Mall, or go to some clubs to get a taste for american nightlife. Check out the things to do tab on your left and see if anything peaks your curiosity
