Hyatt vs Marriott Riverfront

We are trying to decide between the Hyatt and Marriott. Can anyone who is familiar with these hotels compare for me? I%26#39;m looking at the quality of each and also their proximity to the sights. We want to see as much of the city as possible on foot.

Any advice or recommendations are much appreciated!

Hyatt vs Marriott Riverfront

The Hyatt is centrally located. The Marriott is far to the eastern edge of the historic area. It%26#39;s a good walk to the ';sights.';

be sure to ask for a riverfront room. watching the big container ships going up the river to the port is fantastic!

I have no idea as to which is the better hotel. Someone else will have to answer that.

Hyatt vs Marriott Riverfront

Can I ask if anyone has been to the Westin and their thoughts. I like the idea of the ferry across the water.

The Westin is newer than the other two and is a very nice hotel. They have a riverfront area, a pool and little gas fireplaces outside, very nice.

The Marriott is only 4-5 blocks from the Hyatt, the Hyatt is more central but not by much.

It feels more central, more because the Marriott is in a weird spot that makes it feel isolated but I would not let the location be the determining factor, since it is not very far from the Hyatt especially if you are a walking person.

Between the Hyatt and Marriott, I would recommend the Hyatt. Much more centrally located. I would not want to walk down to the Marriott in the middle of a hot day, or at night in the dark. Plus, the rooms at the Hyatt are nicer. You may also want to consider the Westin. It%26#39;s a beautiful hotel with great rooms. However, it%26#39;s pricey, and it%26#39;s on the other side of the river, so you%26#39;ll need to drive over to downtown, or take the river ferry. All else being equal, I%26#39;d recommend the Hyatt (it%26#39;s also closer to all the restaurants on River and Bay Street).

I just stayed at the Marriott. I thought it was a nice hotel and loved the back deck area facing the river. It is a longer walk to City Market and we took a cab one evening but did not feel unsafe walking back at night but the police were everywhere during St. Patrick%26#39;s Day.

Thank you for the help. I%26#39;m getting a very good rate at Marriot, so will stick with it.

Thank you.

So out of the two, what would give you the best river view, or are they about equal?

Thanks.
