I am a resident of Franklin County and know the area well. Although Lavonia has a few good hotel and fast food restaurants,

Carnesville has nothing but truck stops and no hotel%26#39;s only other attractions that we have in Franklin County is the two state parks and Lake Hartwell for boating,fishing, camping. We have no family steak House%26#39;s teen activities except for school sports. No good shopping centers.';I don%26#39;t mean to put my home county down'; I just wish that some really good business could and would read this and get some ideas,';they could make a killing';.All of Franklin County would benefit.

lavonia at one time played to host to the most marvelous old time fiddlers convention. it was three days of non stop blue grass music in song and deed. great fun!!! does it still harmonize there? plus the hickory house bbq serves good que as does it%26#39;s sister over in gum log at gum log bbq. so like aunt fanny always reminded us...don%26#39;t go home hungry!
