Atlanta Dogwood Festival

It%26#39;s this weekend at Piedmont Park! Yes, it%26#39;s crowded but it%26#39;s always fun. Check out the schedule and activities here:

I know parking is always a nightmare (I miss living on the park!) so I think MARTA%26#39;s the best way to get there.

Remember that no dogs are allowed into the park unless competing in the exhibition.

Folks might want to go Sunday rather than Saturday since the foreacst for tomorrow is rather grim. I think the chance of rain is 70 percet. :-(

We had a terrible storm last night. The sirens were going off for about 15 minutes. We had hail that looked like snow. That was the closest I thought we came to a tornado hitting us. How did it go down your way?

Compared to you, Rein, we got very little damage down near North Druid Hills Road. I saw some junk on the streets here and there. Worst thing I saw was a downed tree that went through a power line on Ashford Dunwoody Road inside the Perimeter. They were cutting it up as we drove by it. No damage to the house it was in front of.

We didn%26#39;t get any damage. I thought I would see trees down today but there aren%26#39;t any. When the hail was pelting the house, though, I thought certainly we would be in a tornado. There were leaves stuck to the windows on the east side of the house which shows how strongly the wind was blowing.

We are in tornado season, that%26#39;s for sure.

The tornado siren in Jefferson went off once, but all we got was a lot of wind and heavy rain. I checked out the area today and didn%26#39;t see much in the way of damage, except for some limbs down.
