pit stop trip to savannah

Go right down to Bay Street to find a place to park. As close to Bull street as you can.

To get there:

95 north to I-16 east on 16 until it ends, right in Savannah. You will be going north on Montgomery Street. Go straight for a few blocks then it turns into a two way street and you will go around your first square. City Market will be on your right and Bay street one short block ahead of you. Start looking for a parking space as soon as it changes to two way.

If you get to Bull without finding a space turn right and keep looking.

Once you get parked, Go to Bull Street and Bay Street, facing city hall there is a stairway to the right that goes to River street which is worth seeing and has an arts crafts sale thing going on today.

When you are done on River Street, go back up to Bay and start walking down Bull Street. It is a very nice walk, with several nice squares and lots of old buildings and historical markers. When you cross Oglethorpe Ave, there will be a big white church on your right, next to it is a lane, walk down there and go to Angel%26#39;s BBQ to eat, they are open til 6.

Or turn right on Oglethorpe, on the right side is a nice little Bistro, on the left Mellow mushroom pizza and sandwhiches.

Walk as far as you have time to walk then go two blocks east or west to walk back through different squares.
