Voodoo in SC

Can you tell me where to find the voodoo vestiges in SC?

Voodoo in SC

In the fairy tales.

Voodoo in SC

Are you sure the two of you are from this area? Voodoo is not overt and no one operates a ';store'; or ';shop'; that is a true practitioner....however, just last week as I was driving down Ogeechee Road near Stiles Ave., a fellow who was obviously a ';root doctor'; was standing next to the road. The necklace of chicken bones gave him away. Also, years ago when I lived in Bulloch County, there was a older man who lived on Highway 47 who was the neighborhood ';root doctor';.

Here is the thing, harvardchic82, true voodoo practitioners are not out in the open for the world to find. They only work with family and neighbors, etc. Anyone who says they are a root doctor or voodoo doctor and charges you to stick a pin in a doll is just after your money.

Being a good little Irish Catholic lad, I am not the expert in this area but I think you will run into the voodoo around Frogmore, SC a little village east of Beaufort on the way to Dataw Island.

like cole porter said......do do that voodoo that you do so well. i think i liked it better when harvey korman said it.

';Head %26#39;em off at the pass! I hate that cliche!';

Do you know of any real voodoo workers in SC or Georgia. I think there is a spell on me that I need removed? autrellw@gmail.com

There may be voodoo practitioners in the SC-Ga lowcountry, vestiges may remain within the sea island/Gullah culture but you%26#39;re not going to find root doctors on the side of the road with a sign advertising their services. It%26#39;s not out in the open, if it truly exists.

You%26#39;ll have to travel to Bourbon St. in New Orleans to the voodoo shops, buy some ';spell removers';.
