Just passing through

My family will be passing through Atlanta in May. I am looking for a nice, SAFE hotel to stay in that is on/near I-85. We will be heading South toward Port Canaveral, Fl and will have 3 three children with us. Can anyone recommend something along that corridor? Price is not an issue-safety and clealiness are.

I-85 runs through the entire metro area but from Atlanta it runs south into Alabama; I-75 runs south into Florida from Atlanta. Perhaps a little more specificity about where you%26#39;ll be coming from would be in order, along with an idea of whether you%26#39;d be looking to stay north or south of the city, etc. The Atlanta metro area is huge, and there are dozens if not hundreds of hotels along I-85 (and I-75) that are safe and clean.

Thank you for your response. We are coming from Memphis through Birmingham and Atlanta.

I-85 North of Atlanta; the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place (770) 923-1775

Traveling through Atlanta, Hotel%26#39;s in the Midtown Atlanta Area, Regency Suites (404) 876-5003 / Twelve Hotel Atlantic Station (404) 961-1212 www.twelvehotels.com ....

Downtown - with Indoor Pool...Atlanta Sheraton (404)659-6500 - Westin Peachtree Plaza (404) 659-1400 - Marriott Marquis (404) 521-0000

Coming from Birmingham, you will be traveling on I-20. The only time you%26#39;ll be on I-85 would be for the couple of miles between I-20 and the point that I-75, which you%26#39;ll be taking, splits off. You don%26#39;t want to stay in any hotel in that area. Do you want to stay in the city to do any sight-seeing or do you just want a safe suburban place to sleep that night? If location doesn%26#39;t matter, I%26#39;d suggest that you go ahead and get through Atlanta, then stop in McDonough to spend the night.

Ok, My bad... I didn%26#39;t have all the information. I agree with JAtlanta, if you continue south on I-75 to Exit 218 there%26#39;s a nice Holiday Inn Select in McDonough; with restaurants within walking distance. You might consider driving over to the McDonough Town Square www.tourmcdonough.com
