Hampton Inn, Buckhead

Any advice on this hotel - 3398 Piedmont Road. Distance from airport; proximity to shopping; distance to/from MARTA; anything else???

You can take MARTA to the Buckhead station, and have the hotel shuttle pick you up. The MARTA journey will be about 30 minutes. You could walk from the hotel to the MARTA station, but it would be half a mile, which in my mind is too far with luggage, shopping bags, etc.

If the hotel has a shuttle that will take you to the malls, shopping, etc., you%26#39;ll be fine. Otherwise, you%26#39;ll need to have a car, or to rely on bucride.com, which has limited hours of operation, to get around. This isn%26#39;t exactly in walking distance of the major shopping areas.

I guess I%26#39;ll stick with Embassy Suites. Was just checking to see if there was anything cheaper than $149 in the area.

Try hotwire, priceline, or one of the many other travel booking sites, you can find something cheaper

Yes, try priceline...I have gotten the Grand Hyatt for $85 a night and Intercontinental for $67 (add approx $15 tax/fees to each of those prices).
