Trying to Decide Between 3 B&Bs for 5th Anniversary

Hi everyone, this will be our first trip to Savannah and we will be there for a 4 day weekend over Memorial Day. With so many B%26amp;Bs to choose from, my eyes are crossing with all the research I have been doing but I think I have narrowed it down to three. We are trying to decide between the Azalea Inn, The Ziegler House and the Hamilton Turner Inn. What is inportant to us is nice accommodations, a great breakfast, an informed innkeeper and sort of a central location. Does anyone have any suggestions based on personal experience or things you have heard from others? Any help would be appreciated!

Forgot one more thing...Forsyth Park Inn too :-)

Go for the 1895 Inn, on East Oglethorpe Avenue, it%26#39;s the best one in Savannah. And no, I am not associated with it nor do I know the owners...the reviews tell the story.

A second choice would be the McMillan Inn ---request the Carriage House.

We stayed at the Hamilton Turner Inn about 3 yrs ago. They do a nice breakfast and wine in the evening. There was a man that worked there that did a nice 10.00 walking tour about ';The Book';(midnight in the ...) not the bible. We stayed in a room downstairs and my only complaint was that you could hear every footstep over your head. Ofcoarse these are old houses and thats understandable. Good location. Oh, parking was a little weird. We had to move the car every 12 hours due to street cleaner. That might have changed by now. Hope this helps

Just returned from our first weekend in Savannah. Our party of three women stayed at the Zeigler House Inn and had a wonderful stay. We were in two of the rooms on the street level which worked well for us since we were able to go %26amp; come without disturbing other guests. There is also free parking in a small lot behind the house.

The innkeeper is very knowledgable %26amp; a great cook as well. She provides an assortment of pastries in your room for each morning and the fridge in the rooms are fully stocked with milk, juices, %26amp; water. Cereals, a variety of teas/coffee %26amp; a bowl of fruit are in the rooms as well. We enjoyed this type of breakfast because it suited our schedule better than having to be in a dining area at a certain time. In the late afternoon she also has appetizers %26amp; wine. Homemade cookies %26amp; dessert bars are available 24/7 for those with a sweet craving.

I second 1895... it really is the best. Well priced and good location, great breakfast, and a really knowledgeable owner.

We%26#39;ve stayed there once before and are returning in April!

I don%26#39;t comment much on the forums, but I love B%26amp;B%26#39;s and hope that others can have a great experience too!
