1st time to Savannah

We are coming to Savannah in June. It will be our first visit. We were thinking of staying at the new Marriott in the historic distric. How far away is this to the visitors center? We had thought about catching the trolley to see things. Also we have 3 days, what are the best things to see in this short time?

If it%26#39;s the new one that isn%26#39;t open yet, it would be just across the street from the visitors center.

Getting a tolley tour first is an excellent idea.

Since you will have three days, take one day to just stroll from Bay street on the north to Forsyth Park on the south. that%26#39;s a little over one mile, but if you add in taking time to really LOOK at the homes, etc. it would a full day. Go down Bull, then east at the Park for two blocks to Abercorn and then back to Bay on Abercorn. Take time to go in and see the Cathedral of St John the Baptist on Abercorn.

I would go to Ft Pulaski if you are interested in history, it is also a beautiful place to just walk around, there is a dike/trail that goes all the way around that is a great walk and a trail that goes out near the lighthouse.

While you are out there run out to Tybee beach and have a look around.
