Accommodation for Masters 09

Hi I have been searching for accommodation for the 8th to the 13th of April 09 (masters week) and the most decent option is an aveage 2 star hotel for 360 dollars a night. Crazy money for such accommodation.

I understand a lot of people rent their homes privately, but as a single individual who will not need a home for 2, 3 or 4 people where i presume good value is to be had. Am I actually likely to find a one bedroom apartment or something that could be less than 360 a night? Any help would be much appreciated as I need to book that other place soon before i run out of options!

You could always go further out have better accommodation and then drive in. That is what most people do.

Try looking in washington, ga or aiken sc and drive in. Maybe look into a B%26amp;B downtown augusta or in N. Augusta.

Last year my husband and I stayed at a cabin at a Georgia State Park. There are 2 within an hour of Augusta. You will get a 2 bedroom with full kitchen for about $120 per night. Most are located lakeside in a lovely setting, and it%26#39;s a great alternative to a motel room. The closest to Augusta is Mistletoe, we ended up at Elijah Clark.

Trying to visit Masters Tournament on a shoesting budget is a loosing proposition. Everything will be more expensive than usual: hotels, cabs, and restaurants. Most are booked a year in advance. Consider looking for a hotel in Columbia, SC. It is only an hour away from Augusta.

try the perrin guest house inn, its a beautiful bed and breakfast ...i know that its pricy too, but worth it and only 1/2 mile away from the tournament...
