Hello! My husband and I are meeting some friends in Augusta in early December. Does Augusta have special events that month? We like to walk and browse, best place for that? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I am sure there will be something going on, but check www.metrospirit.com before you go. This will update you an festivals, events, and nightlife. I am not sure exactly what you are looking to do, but there are many restaurants and bars downtown. Riverwalk is nice, and I enjoy browsing the art galleries and antique shops downtown as well. A photo by the James Brown Memorial with his santa hat on is a must. I am from the area but couldn%26#39;t resist taking a pic this Christmas ';)

I would stay at the Perrin Guest House Inn, they have gorgeous rooms and it is a little slice of southern hospitality in the middle of augusta..its a bed and breakfast and I highly recommend it...
