Springhill Suites - I-95

How long will it take for me to get to the Historic District from Springhill Suites - I95? This hotel just opened this month so I am sure that it is nice but would it be better for us to stay at the one on Abercorn? Is there a great distance between the two?

What are your thoughts! Thanks :)

Springhill Suites - I-95

It is maybe half an hour from 204 and 95 to downtown. Most times it would be faster to get back on 95 to I-16 then into town, Abercorn is 7 lanes and full of traffic most times of the day.

It would save you maybe 10-15 minutes of drive time if you stay in the mid-town one but you lose the freeway option. I think it is six of one but the mid town one is closer to malls, restaurants and such.

FYI noone here calls that area mid town, it is the south side or if you are really cynical ';north Jacksonville';.

Springhill Suites at 1-95 is if I am correct is next to Cracker Barrel resturant and other chain hotels in the vacinity ,it also has the factory outlets across the road , the Harley dealer is 4 mins away and hooters is next door to the dealer .

It would take at least 30 mins or 40 mins to get to down town from this hotel all depends on what time of day, its a fairley busy road but no hardship heck after driving on Englands roads and in our traffic its a breeze .

All depends on what your looking for , but further down on Abercorn ( midtown ) is another springhill suites also town place suites I can vouch that these hotels are spotless , give good service and would recommend them both to any one for sure . Staying in either of these hotels you would be about 15 to 20 mins tops to down town , plus your 5 mins from Savannah shopping mall in one direction and about the same to Oglethrope shopping mall in other , they have JC Pennys and Belks and so many other shops .

We%26#39;ve stayed in Springhill Suites on Abercorn several ltimes %26amp; love the location. The rooms were large, clean, %26amp; staff very helpful. It really takes only a few minutes of heading toward the historic district till you are driving through a lovely residential area %26amp; I love driving through there too. If you%26#39;re planning to go to Tybee Island, the Abercorn location is much better - you just hang a right on Victory Blvd, several minutes south of the hotel %26amp; stay till you get there!
