Visiting 26th-30th April

Myself and my brother (mid 30%26#39;s) are visiting Atlanta for a long weekend 26th-30th April and staying in midtown. Has anyone got any suggestions for what to do to make our stay enjoyable? Thanks in advance

Hi, Englande. It would help a great deal if you listed what your interests are and if you%26#39;ll have a car. Having a car makes a big difference here. You can go many places without one but some places are not in reach of public transportation. Since you are staying in Midtown, you%26#39;ll have easy access to MARTA (our train system).

Midtown has a lot of fun restaurants and clubs so you won%26#39;t have any problem there. With the weather being so nice, a walk over to Piedmont Park is worth the time. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is on the edge. The newly expanded High Museum of Art is also in Midtown.

The hottest ticket in town at the moment is the new Georgia Aquarium, located downtown. It is thought to be one of the best. You will need to make reservations in advance, however. Go to www.Georgiaaquarium.org for more info. You can get there via MARTA.

Another fun spring activity is going to an Atlanta Braves baseball game. Every Friday home game also includes a fireworks show at the end of the game. I see they%26#39;re playing the NY Mets here on Friday, April 28. You can get their by taking MARTA to Five Points and catching a shuttle to Turner Field.

Is that helpful for a start? Let us know what your interests are and maybe we can narrow it down for you.
