My family is coming down on May 25 for a graduation. What are the closest towns to get hotel rooms? Closest airports also.

You have out side the base some Inns and you might want to try CSG or Mongomery Airport becuase the base is in the border line of Alabama

I would look in Columbus, Georgia, and Phenix City, Alabama, for hotel rooms.

There are many hotels in Columbus, which is where Benning is. Columbus has an airport; the planes pretty much just fly into Atlanta from here. A lot cheaper than flying from Atlanta is Groom; the van/bus line runs regularly from the Atlanta Airport to Ft. Benning and to Groom%26#39;s location in Columbus.

There are some hotels in Phenix City...no airport. Other than those, you%26#39;d have to stay in Atlanta...too far away. Enjoy your visit..We are proud of and appreciate your soldier.

Hi, We are also going down for graduation in May. wingate hotel 10 miles out from Fort benning is booked. Alot of things are happening that week. book early to get a room.hotwire.com is a good place to get good rates on hotels and flying deals. Maybe we run into each other there.
