Sea Camp versus Stafford beach site

Outside of walking distance what are advanatges or pro%26#39;s and con%26#39;s of these two sites? Is true that one site has hot water?

I have heard that Stafford has hot water not sure though. You would need to call Park Service and verify.

Camping at Sea Camp you have the advantage or disadvantage of being around more people. It just depends on what your looking for. If an emergency happens you would be able to get help sooner if camping at Sea Camp.

Depending on the time of year the bugs will be out full force in the Wilderness Area. The Park Rangers do a good job of getting rid of stagnant water around Sea Camp.

There are boxes at Sea Camp for you to secure your food. At Stafford, you would have to tie up food and hang it off the ground. The raccoons are very adept at opening coolers! I have first hand knowledge of how good the raccoons are at getting your food!

Last time I camped on Cumberland I saw some people who really had it going on! They had a dolly(like a moving dolly) and had the cooler on the bottom and tent and supplies on top. They bungeed it all together and rolled it onto ferry and off ferry. I, on the other hand made numerous trips for cooler, tent, etc...They could have wheeled that thing all over!

At Sea Camp, they have carts that you can use to transport your stuff from ferry to campsite. Those carts are not allowed out of Sea Camp. But, if you had your own dolly you could certaintly take that to Stafford.

Depends on traveling party, how much equip. you bring, humidity, etc....

I would say about an hour at most. I haven%26#39;t camped at Stafford in years.......
