Taking my mom who cannot walk a lot for a very quick trip to Savannah. We get there Friday morning ( around 11am) then leave the next day around noon...staying at the Marriott riverfront.
We are going to do the trolley tour so that she can see the city, and then slowly walk along the Riverwalk. Anything else we can do?
Also, can you recommend a typical Southern restaurant ( preferably not too expensive) I can take her to?
Thanks,
D
If you had one day in Savannah, what would you do?
I don%26#39;t know if your time frame will work for you, but we really enjoyed Mrs. Wilkes Restaurant when we were there. I believe they are only open from 11am - 2pm and you pretty much have to be in line early to be able to get in - a know a local can confirm the times for you. We also ate a really good little BBQ place called the Sweet Leaf, but I don%26#39;t know if it is the kind of place you want to take your Mom - seemed to be a college kid hangout kind of place.

If I had someplace in mind (like Mrs. Wilkes) but walking was an issue (I%26#39;m going to assume you are without a car as well or would prefer not to drive)....I%26#39;d check into the local pedicabs. It would certainly add to the fun of getting %26#39;there%26#39;....wherever %26#39;there%26#39; is (i.e. restaurant for evening).
