Roadtrip music

Hi, I am doing a roadtrip across the US soon, including driving through Georgia, and am trying to work out some roadtrip music!

I can think of lots of %26#39;rock driving music%26#39;. However, what I want to play is something quintessentially %26#39;local%26#39;, including songs referring to and/or about the places I am going to. If anyone has any ideas for the Georgia section of my trip I%26#39;d be very grateful to hear them.

Many thanks

Georgia on My Mind

The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia

Midnight Train to Georgia

The Devil Went Down to Georgia

anything by James Brown, an Augusta native

anything by Johnny Mercer, a Savannah native

anything by REM and B-52s, both from Athens, GA

John Mayer sort of started out in Atlanta, so maybe something by him if you can stand it

What am I missing?

Also, in driving through Alabama you can%26#39;t neglect:

My Home%26#39;s in Alabama

Sweet Home Alabama

Dixieland Delight (a lovely song although technically set in Tennessee by a band called Alabama)

How about anything from:

Allman Brothers Band

The Black Crowes

Widespread Panic

Georgia Sattelites

brenda lee is from Lithonia I think

and how about the Atlanta Rhythm Section ?
